Skype 5 for Windows: Facebook Integration, Group Video Calls

Skype 5 was released today with lots of new features over the previous version. According to the official Skype blog, Skype 5 for Windows has been made for social with Facebook integration.

Another big feature that you will find is the group video calls. Skype has mentioned again that these features are still in beta and are free till then. They might start charging for these later on.

Some of the new features in Skype 5 for Windows are:

  • Call and text friends from your Facebook News Feed and Phonebook.
  • Group video beta: get together with loved ones and colleagues over video.
  • Automatically recover dropped calls.
  • New, easier to use design.
