Samsung Galaxy S vs iPhone 4: Display Screens

Posted: 10 Aug 2010 11:36 AM PDT

I got my hands today on the Samsung Galaxy S and the iPhone 4, and honestly, when comparing the display screens of both these phones, I was really confused on which to conclude with is the best!

(Click the image to enlarge)

iPhone 4 features one of the most advanced display screens with the Retina Display technology (SLCD), while on the other hand Samsung Galaxy S features a Super AMOLED display screen. But when holding both of them, you hardly make out which one should be crowned as the best among these two because both of them have the best, vibrant touchscreen I have ever seen!

Have you tried both of these devices together? Which one do you think has a better display? Samsung Galaxy S or iPhone 4?

Gmail Gets Contacts and Updated New Look

Posted: 10 Aug 2010 11:22 AM PDT

Gmail has just added a bunch of new features, a slightly new look and full integration of Google Contacts in Gmail.

An overhauled version of Google Contacts have been added to Gmail today to make it much easier to sort and manage your contacts from within Gmail.

This is not all, Google has also introduced a bunch of new features which Gmail users have been requesting for a long time!

  • Keyboard shortcuts (go to Contacts and hit “?” for the full list)
  • Sort by last name (look under “More actions”)
  • Custom labels for phone numbers and other fields
  • The ability to undo changes you’ve just made
  • Automatic saving
  • Structured name fields, so you can adjust titles, suffixes, and other name components
  • A bigger, more prominent notes field

All these new features will be rolled out, starting today! So hopefully, every Gmail user should have them by the end of this week.

Google Apps users might have to wait a bit till Google works on getting these new features to Apps users, soon.
