Download Firefox 6 Alpha 1 Nightly for Windows, Mac, Linux

After the minor Firefox 4.0.1 update, we wrote about Firefox 5.0 Alpha 2, and now – Firefox 6.0 Alpha 1. The first alpha version is now available and at least we don’t find any major changes in it so far. May be in the next few releases.

Firefox development sure seems on steroids these days, specially after how much time they took with the Firefox 4 development.

How to Video Chat on Nexus S from Google Talk

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 03:29 PM PDT

Google just made it official that Android 2.3.4 OTA will be rolling out soon, which would bring the long-awaited video chat and voice chat to Android phones using Google Talk.

You can now video or voice chat with your friends, family and colleagues right from your Android phone – and it works on both, Android phones and tablets! All you need is a 3G, 4G or WiFI connection and you can get into a voice / video call on Google Talk with Gmail on the computer!

Well, it’s easy as pie! In your Google Talk friends list, a video or voice chat button will appear next to your contacts and you can simply touch the button to connect with them. Any text chats from the person you're talking with will be overlaid on your phone's screen so you can read them without having to leave the video.

Sexy, eh? And even better is the multitasking. If you need to check something else, the video pauses automatically so you can go back to your phone's home screen or another app. The audio will keep going even though the video has paused.

Watch the video below on how video chat on Android works!

Android 2.3.4 Bringing Video Chat to Nexus S. It’s Official Now!

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 03:02 PM PDT

And so yes, it’s official. Android 2.3.4 (GRJ22) software update will be bringing Google Talk video chat to the Nexus S. We just reported yesterday of Google rolling out the first few Android 2.3.4 updates to internal Googlers.

Google made it official with a blog post and a tweet that the Android 2.3.4 (GRJ22) will be rolling out in the coming weeks. It will bring bug fixes for the Nexus One and video chat to the Nexus S.

Along with the great news of Android 2.3.4, the tweet also mentions of a surprise! We wonder what it really is. Any guesses?

From what it seems, Google has left out iPhone users for video chatting with Google Talk contacts. May be, an update later?
