Posted: 19 Apr 2011 01:00 PM PDT

CNN Android app for Android phones is now available for download from the Android Market. The first app from CNN on Android was specifically for tablets and only ran on tablets with Honeycomb (Android 3.0) on board.

This fully featured CNN for Android app has all that you need to get the latest from CNN, including push notifications for breaking news, iReport, CNN Radio, video clips etc. Oh, the app also has a home screen widget!

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc Preview

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is one of the most gorgeous handsets I have ever used – and is available out in the market. It was announced at MWC11 this year and was launched in UK around a week ago.

This is the latest flagship device from Sony Ericsson, which is also the successor to XPERIA X10. Talking about the X10, Sony Ericsson managed it quite well to mess up that phone with a very late launch, delayed OS upgrades etc. and we hope they don’t do the same with the Arc.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – the curve!

XPERIA Arc features a 4.2-inch screen with BRAVIA Mobile engine, 8 megapixels camera, HD video recording, 1GHz Scorpion processor, mini-HDMI output, Android 2.3 Gingerbread etc.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA series has always been my favourite when it comes to design. Our first impressions after using the phone was, amazing! Sony Ericsson has really done some hard work with this device. We couldn’t compare it with the XPERIA Play, but you will see that soon as well.

The phone has a plastic body, more like the Galaxy S kind-of (also Galaxy SL review). It still feels good to hold and use. Camera is really good with lightening fast shutter speed. Gingerbread on the XPERIA Arc is really fast. No lag whatsoever. And games work even better with the Adreno 205 GPU under the hood.

XPERIA Arc and XPERIA X10

More details about the XPERIA Arc later. We’ll be doing a full review of the phone and some comparison posts between the XPERIA Arc and XPERIA X10.

How to Batch Resize Photos in Photoshop CS4

Posted: 19 Apr 2011 07:01 AM PDT

Adobe Photoshop has an in-built feature for resizing photos in batch. Even though when people have Photoshop installed on their computer, they still look for other software to resize photos.

This tip works with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS4. I’m not sure if this still works with Photoshop CS5 or any other Adobe product. If you have a folder of large photos, you can use Photoshop to resize them.

zHow to Batch Resize Photos in Photoshop CS4

Follow the steps below to resize photos in Photoshop:

  • Open Photoshop.
  • Go to File > Scripts > Image Processor.
  • Now select the folder with large photos that you want to resize in batch.
  • Enter the processed images location below.
  • Below that, choose the file type, image quality and resize resolution.
  • Click Run.
  • Now Photoshop will start resizing your images one by one.
