Firefox 4.2 Alpha 1, Now Available for Download Posted: 24 Mar 2011 09:44 PM PDT Firefox 4.2 Alpha 1 is now available for download from the Firefox Nightly Builds website. It is being called as ‘Minefield’. It seems that Mozilla was right about speeding up their development cycle after the release of Firefox 4.0 and have confirmed plans to release Mozilla Firefox 5.0 in June. According to Mozilla's Rob Sayre, Firefox might follow the development of Chrome and split Firefox into four different channels: nightly, experimental, beta and final. New features will show up in the nightly builds, and will roll out to experimental and beta builds. Samsung KIES Updated for Galaxy S Gingerbread Update Posted: 24 Mar 2011 12:15 PM PDT Samsung has updated their desktop PC software for Samsung devices, Samsung KIES. It has been updated to be able to get the Android 2.3.2 update for the Galaxy S devices. Galaxy S Gingerbread update was promised for March 20th by the Samsung Mobile’s Romanian team, but nothing is available so far. Considering the number of Froyo update leaks before the official release, Samsung seems to be pretty tight with Gingerbread releases this time. Only one Galaxy S Gingerbread leak till now. According to the latest Samsung KIES update, the Galaxy S Gingerbread is due to release on March 30th. I just hope this time they really roll out the update to all the Galaxy S users! Posted: 24 Mar 2011 09:07 AM PDT We have covered a list of number of Android PC suit/software before, but I found this recently to use it with my Nexus S. QtADB is a PC software for Android devices, based on ‘adb’. It requires a working Android SDK installed on your computer with Android USB drivers installed (command "adb devices" listing your device should work), Qt libs version 4.7, root (not really necessary) and Busybox installed on phone. As long as you have Busybox installed on your Android phone, this software should be compatible with your device. QtADB is still under development, so expect bugs in it. According to the developer, QtADB is compatible with the following Android devices:
And in my tests, QtADB was even compatible with Google Nexus S, on Android 2.3.3 and Samsung Galaxy SL GT-I9003 on Android 2.2.1. Download QtADB, Android PC SoftwareYou can download this freeware from here (and other related info): Download QtADB Post from: Sizzled Core |
