After the release of the innovative tablet made by Apple, the iPad, there has been a lot of fuss going on over the internet about competitors of Apple in the handheld device market coming up with similar solutions. One of the most talked about tablet, which has been on the rumor sheet since early May is the possible tablet being released by Research In Motion (RIM), makers of the popular line of smartphones known as BlackBerry.

Recently, news about this new RIM tablet have surfaced which most significantly highlight its ability to connect to a BlackBerry smartphone's 3G connection to access the web when WiFi isn't an option. Further down the road, reports suggest that the tablet would boast a 7-inch screen and will run on a 1GHz Marvell Armada 610 chip. To bring video calling on the spec sheet (unlike the Apple iPad which is devoid of a camera), this tablet is also rumored to have dual cameras, a front mounted camera making video calls possible and a back camera for some photography. Reports also suggest that the display would be a full 1080p HD, along with 3D graphics capability!

The estimated date of arrival for this RIM tablet is supposedly by the end of the fourth quarter of 2010.
