HTC Desire HD Specs Revealed [Rumor]

Posted: 16 Jul 2010 10:17 AM PDT

clip_image002Rumors about HTC releasing another high end smartphone based on Google's Android operating system are in the air for quite some time. It is now somewhat clear that the rumored phone, dubbed as the HTC Ace will be released under its new alias, Desire HD. Like the currently available HTC Desire, the Desire HD (or Ace as you may still want to call it) will be a high end device from HTC, with features resembling that of the HTC EVO 4G. It is also being improvised that the Desire HD might be a European version of the EVO 4G, with users enjoying everything what the EVO 4G promises to offer except the 4G connectivity.

The alleged technical specifications of the Desire HD include a 4.3 inch multi touch WVGA resolution display, an 8 megapixel camera with the capability to record videos in 720p HD resolutions, a 1GHz Qualcomm processor with Android 2.2 (or later) and 4GB internal memory which can be extended up to 32GB with the help of microSD memory card slot. The physical design of the Desire HD would be similar to HTC Legend's uni-body Aluminum build (i.e. whole phone crafted from one solid block of Aluminum).

The tentative release date for the Desire HD is suspected to be around October this year, although no official announcement has been made in this regard by HTC.
