Acer revealed a new Android smartphone today at Acer’s Global press event in New York City. According to Engadget, it was a biref demonstration of what is said to be “100 percent smartphone. 100 percent tablet.,”

This device boasts a 4.8-inch display with 1024×480 screen resolution and also features the “evolution of Acer UI.”

It has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 8 megapixel rear camera (with LED flash), 720p video recording, a six-axis gyroscope and LED edge lighting.

No word on the name or pricing yet, but it is expected to be launched in the market in April 2011.
