Samsung Galaxy Tab, Officially Unveiled

Posted: 02 Sep 2010 05:07 AM PDT

Samsung has finally, and officially, unveiled the most leakiest tablet ever – the Samsung Galaxy Tab – today during a press conference at the IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin.

They call this device a “smart media device” that can do just about anything. We already seen it a number of times in leaked photos and video, but never got a clear view of what features it packs in itself.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is like a multimedia powerhouse device which boasts a 7-inch TFT-LCD display (I wanted a Super AMOLED display), a front and read camera – 1.3 and 3 megapixels respectively, LED flash, WiFi, 3G, microSD card slot, and the latest and the greatest version of Android, Froyo!

Tab will have a battery enough for 7 hours of movie playback and weighs 380 grams. I believe, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is going to give a serious competition to the iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab will be sold to Vodafone’s European markets, starting this October and US will get it later this year – including other markets.
