😔 An AI talent crisis: Kai Chen, a Canadian AI researcher who was "crucial" in the development of OpenAI's GPT-4.5 model, was denied a green card after living in the U.S. for 12 years. Immigration issues like this could wreak havoc on the AI talent market in the U.S.

🩺 A hack! Yale New Haven Health, Connecticut's largest health system, was hit by a data breach in March. This cyber incident affects more than 5.5 million people, with hackers gaining access to personally identifiable information and some healthcare-related data.

🤨 AI overviews: Google's AI Overviews are now used by 1.5 billion people monthly, the company said in its first-quarter results. The company started testing these AI Overviews two years ago and considers the initiative successful. But does it still tell people to put glue on pizza?
